Instructions - Copper Metal Art Waterfall Weavings

Decide on sizes

Valence needs to be cut +2” wide and +1.25” high

Fold over the edges ¼” all the way around – hammer down flat on 3 sides

Keep an open lip on the side to which the strips will be attached

Then fold up the sides ¾” on three sides

Remember to trim off the sides and tabs to allow proper folding

Strips need to be cut ½” long, since the tops get folded over ¼ and the valence hides ¼”

Interwoven wires

Mark the back side of the strips every 2”

Cut the wires longer than necessary

Hammer them as flat and straight as possible

Weave them in – solder in place

Pole backing

Braze or solder corners

Copper pole at top

Copper pole on top of strips

Wash and dry

Lacquer the back too
