Aluminum has a beguiling quality when wire-brushed. It doesn't need to be on a black background to look stupendous.

One might think the open weavings are easier to do than the tight weavings. Actually, the open weavings usually take more time, because every other crossover point has to be brazed as many as 4 times. That's a lot of silver brazing.
The green verdigris (below) is a great change of pace.
I'm always amazed by the incredible blues that I can get with salt & ammonia on copper.
