Work Ideas & Techniques

When putting Bondo over the ¼” copper pipe in the tiles, do all tiles clamped together - one side at a time

Add graphite to Bondo to make it black

How to remove lint from a cleaned & sanded patinated surface – use sticky tape!

For edge blacking – don't use black latex caulk. Dries up outdoors, cracks.

To make a coating black – add powdered graphite!

To thicken up a coating – add 403 Silica

Don’t use PolyU glue on dowel tips with dimensional designs – it breaks off too easily when twisted

Grizzly cutter – do little nibbles – not big bites

5 mil weavings – always have a 1” overhang to allow room for brazing and to allow fold over of the brazed part

Wavy Weavings – glue to the under-metal, then fold over edges and glue those as well.
