Directions for Installing a Large Copper Weaving

1.The box weighs about 150 lbs. I have circled which screws need to be removed from the top. It helps to have a cordless drill with a phillips screwdriver tip. Please save the box until you are sure that the piece has arrived safely, with no damage, and that you are happy with the design and appearance. If you need to return it for any reason, please let me know first..

2. Total weight of piece is 42 pounds – this usually requires two people to handle.

3. Please be careful with the copper edges – I have tried to round each corner but they occasionally are a little sharp

4. To remove from box – cut wires that are securing the removable legs in the box. Lift out carefully then stand on the floor on the removable legs.

5. You can remove the top removable legs at any time, but leave the bottom removable legs on until the piece is installed on the wall.

6. Hanger positions are marked with blue tape. Check to make sure, but I believe the distance between the hangers is 36”. You want the hangers to be hidden behind a metal strip. The hooks are designed for drywall and each should be able to hold 50 pounds without locating a stud.

7. It usually takes two people to hang a piece this large – one to hold the piece and the other to guide the hanger onto the hook.

8. After hanging, remove the blue tape markers and the bottom legs. To remove the legs, gently twist and pull. If they are stuck, grab them with pliers, them gently twist and pull.

9. The weaving has been washed and dried and then lacquered on both sides. The patina should not change and humidity should not cause any patina action on the back. This lacquer has been satisfactorily tested with Michigan summers and winters for 5 years and should last indefinitely inside.

10. The colors are permanent and should not fade or change with sunlight. The more light these pieces have, the more beautiful they are.
